Being Healed = Being Able To Love Everyone All The Time?

Many spirituality, self help and personal growth teachers tell us that when we’ve done sufficient healing work, that we should get to a place where we are able to love and have compassion for ALL people.

That we should rise to a state where we are perpetually able to offer compassion to everyone.

More than this, we should get to a place where we aren’t just able to see the innocence in everyone but that this should then translate to us being able to be open-hearted and capable of being in RELATIONSHIP with anyone.

That we should get to a place where no matter how our families treat us, no matter how our co workers behave, no matter how our friends or partners act - we should be able to be in a state of pure love and compassion at all times.

There is a narrative that really ‘doing your work’ means that you no longer get triggered by people, and we should be able to be perpetually kind, understanding, gracious and calm.

There is messaging that the only reason we tend to react with anger, the only reason we get upset with people, the only reason we may find ourselves in a state of being triggered or unable to ‘forgive’ is because we have something unhealed within ourselves.

They say that if we are TRULY healed, we will no longer have resentments, no longer have anger, no longer be hurt by what others say or do - because we will be in a state of pure calm all the time.

Is this reality? Or is this just more spiritual bypassing and misunderstanding?

Let’s explore this together today.
