Can Constant Self Improvement/Spiritual Seeking Be A FEAR Response?

In our world today, there is no shortage of tools you can use to help ‘improve’ yourself.

The wellness industry as we know it right now is a multi-billion dollar industry - with everything from spiritual practices and retreats, bootcamps, mindset trainings, books, seminars, webinars and coaching available to us at all times with just a click of a button.

We live in a culture that tells us that we can never be good enough. That we can never rest or relax because if we do we may be missing out on reaching our potential, letting ourselves be lazy, or otherwise may be doing life WRONG.

Many of us live in a perpetual state of awareness of our ‘flaws’ and believe that the BEST thing is to be perpetually seeking to better ourselves.

The world is going to celebrate this. The world is going to tell us that we are doing the right thing by constantly striving, seeking, searching and trying to be better.

But if we take a step back, is it possible that this way of life is actually coming from FEAR?

Is it possible that this perpetual feeling of ‘not enough’ is actually unhealthy, and is actually driving us to live in ways that AREN’T supportive of our health, happiness or expansion?

Is it possible that this perpetual questing to become more is actually part of what’s keeping us locked in lives that DON’T feel good and that feel unfulfilling?

Let’s explore this today and see if we can find some clarity.
