Following What Matters To You IS The Healing Path

Hello Beautiful!

If there's one thing I've learned on my personal journey - it's that healing, integration, growth and 'becoming ready' happens ON the path of pursuing what mattered to me - these things didn't come BEFORE I started walking.

In other words, I've learned that so much of the pain I used to be in, the struggles I had, the weaknesses, the lack of awareness that I THOUGHT I had to FIX before I could pursue the life I wanted, were things that I figured out how to heal/integrate/grow as a part of my pursuit of the life that I wanted.

I so often hear people saying that they feel like they CAN'T go after the things they truly want until they've healed their bodies, done all their processing and integration work, figured out their traumas, gotten their coping/self sabotaging under control, have fully moved on from any depression or anxiety they may be experiencing or until they KNOW they have all the resources they need to fully GET to where they want to go. It can feel like if we start to move in our lives WITHOUT fixing these things first, that the challenge of the path forward will weaken, degrade and make everything worse. That we won't/don't have the strength or capacity to really go after our dream lives while we are still not well - and that the process could in fact kill us.

I also know that when we are pursuing what we 'think' we 'should' be pursuing, when we are going after what our conditioning tells us we should go after, when we are living a life for approval rather than from our core - we often DO experience all our symptoms and problems getting WORSE along the way - leading us to believe even more that transformation and healing HAVE to take place before we start walking.

Today I want to flip all of this on its head.

I want to explain why I feel that it's in the walking towards what we CARE ABOUT that all the 'healing' we are looking for happens. I want to talk about why I feel like we will not heal/integrate/transform in the ways we really WANT to if we DON'T start pursuing what we're called to pursue. I want to talk about why we can get degraded on the path if we're not going from our centre, and how to learn to take STEPS even when we don't have the ability to figure out the entire route/the strength or resources to do more than just a single step.

Let's dive into how the path can BE the healing we're seeking.
