Hello Loves!
The truth is this - I've never seen anyone, nor have I personally ever experienced a total transformation step/event that took someone from where they were (pain and suffering) into their ideal life.
I've never seen THE THING that delivered someone into perfect health, the ideal relationship, their dream career - nor have I seen the accomplishment of one of these things being THE THING that fixed someone's whole life.
I've never known anyone to pursue their lives, their passions, what matters to them, that has done the work of creating a reality for themselves that works AFTER they healed their bodies/fixed their relationships/found their ideal career.
Rather, what I HAVE seen is that those who have created lives that work for them, those who have found healing, great relationships, fulfilling careers and so on, are the people who simply started from where they were. Who were willing to take steps. Willing to fail. Willing to try and see what happens. Were willing to take a journey rather than expecting to have something deliver them straight to where they wanted to go.
Small steps were the key to every transformation story I've ever heard.
So why is it, that in real reality, transformation seems to happen in steps, one step forward, one step back, failures, setbacks and learning, but most of us EXPECT big overnight shifts, radical healing, fixing things BEFORE we start and a promise of things WORKING before we try?
Why do we all come up with so many reasons in our heads for WHY the small steps won't work? Aren't right? Will just make things worse? Why are we so afraid of 'failure' and doing it wrong? Why do we feel like only perfection will get us to where we want to go? Why do we assume healing has to happen BEFORE we start pursuing our lives?
The answer - our nervous systems that evolved to keep us safe within predictability.
Today, I want to dive deep into WHY steps, failures, trying things and seeing what happens, starting before you're ready and NEVER seeing the full picture is the ONLY way to create the lives we want, and why our brains/bodies are going to fight us on this. I want to talk about how to recognize the nervous system trying to keep you SAFE where you ARE when it comes up, so that you can gently love that nervous system enough to enable yourself to take the small steps in front of you. I want to offer you some words on how to look at 'failure' and 'setbacks' so that they can EMPOWER you rather than keep you stuck - and I want to inspire you to live for this moment, rather than waiting for the perfect thing.
You CAN create the life you want - just not overnight, and not without falling down a few times. Let's get you on the path of becoming someone who KNOWS how transformation works, and how to make it happen.
