Hello Love!
If you haven't done so, please go read Part One of this post.
Now onto part two!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We Are Coerced On A Daily Basis Through Threat Of Violence:
Home Rental/Ownership: The entire idea of ‘ownership’ of land and resources is a fiction in and of itself. The natural world can’t be owned. But alas, we have all sorts of laws around ownership, as well as all sorts of violent enforcements for those laws.
In order to stay in a place of residence, you have to either ‘buy’ it from the ‘owner’ who is being protected by the government, or you have to borrow it from the owner for a cost. Ie. You HAVE to part with your capital in order to reside anywhere. If you don’t pay your mortgage or your rent, your home will be taken from you. You may have to pay EXTRA fees for not paying. You can easily be made homeless if you don’t comply with the coercion that tells you you have to exchange the money you make for room and board.
You can’t simply inhabit land.
You can’t simply build a structure.
You have to have permits.
You have to report this to the government.
Being homeless is generally incredibly painful - if you’re living anywhere near a city you will be constantly terrorized by law enforcement, along with the weather and all the social ostracization that goes along with not having a home to live in. Because it isn't exactly legal to be homeless either. If you don’t live near a city you won’t have access to the necessities of life. You’re not allowed to live in your car.
You HAVE to own a home and you HAVE to pay for it at the price set or you live on the street and this comes with a whole host of punishments. If you can't or don't comply with all of the hoops one must jump through in order to be able to afford a home, your bodily autonomy is greatly threatened on a daily basis. The system is set up to discourage this at all costs, and to punish those who don't or can't comply - while also not being set up to create equal access to home rental/ownership.
If you can’t comply with the entire SYSTEM of work/income again, you’re pretty much left to fend for yourself AGAINST a system that’s going to punish you for this.
You will likely rely upon the government and other companies to supply your home with water, power, internet and other necessities - if you don’t pay, you don’t get to play. You don’t have a free will choice to participate in living in a home that’s hooked up to any public service without HAVING to pay for it.
This payment is coerced out of you via the threat of homelessness/asset seizure. You can opt out if you want, but the consequences are quite harsh if you do. If you don’t comply with these rules again, your bodily autonomy is greatly threatened. Most of us don’t choose this, because the consequences are very, very harsh.
Most of us don’t ‘choose’ to opt out either - we’re forced due to not being able again to live up to the expectations for work in exchange for money that you can then exchange for housing.
It’s how it is and we don’t question it, but again, no one is simply paying for land or rent out of the goodness of their heart.
They are doing it because it’s the ONLY option if you don’t want violence.
Literally the basics of having a home are not basic in any way. There's an entire system at work that is fully built upon threat and violence for non-compliance to the WHOLE system.
Employment/Business Ownership: Owning a business again, requires that you get government approval. You can’t just start operating and hope things will be ok - if you want to earn money in substantial enough amounts to support yourself, you need several layers of permission in order to operate. Failure to get permission, and failure to operate via the dictates of your government will again mean fines, a revocation of your capacity to operate and at worst - prison time. In order to make any kind of capital in our society, you are coerced into telling the government about it, and giving some of what you earn BACK to the government for them to use how THEY see fit. Regardless of you, your values, what you want and don’t want. You have to pay taxes on what you own and those tax dollars are taken from you, again, through coercion.
You are not free to do as you wish.
Your bodily autonomy is hanging in the balance every day as you work.
How We Spend Our Money: You have to pay your rent.
You have to pay for food from the system.
You have to pay for water, electricity and internet.
You have to pay for all of the services you use.
You have to wear clothes and pay for those clothes.
If you have a vehicle you have to insure that vehicle. If you don't you have to pay for another form of transportation.
You have to pay taxes.
You have to pay for a whole bunch of things in order to be allowed to exist within society whether or not you value those things or want those things.
There’s no financially independent person who’s *actually* choosing what they are going to do with all of their money. Not even close.
In order to have your basic needs met, and in order for the State NOT to come to you and literally take your money/put you in prison, you have to part with MOST of what you make to comply with social norms and expectations.
Sure, at some levels of capital you get to choose the KIND of house you will have. The KIND of power and the internet. What brands you will use to cover the parts of your body you MUST cover by LAW/or that you must cover to fit into the social structures you want to fit into - if you have skills the society deems important that you can then trade for money - But is this really freedom of choice? Is this not coercion? If you stopped paying, they would not say - ‘well that’s your right, we are just suggesting that you pay for and participate in these things.’ Of course not.
To make money in this system is to promise to give most of it back for basic necessities and for taxes which the government has full range to do whatever they want with. You can't really choose to be homeless - you will be punished. Not to wear clothes - you will be punished. You can't choose to live without water and heat most of the time - you will be punished. You can't choose to forgo any kind of transportation - your capacity to function within society will be greatly hindered. You can't choose not to pay taxes - you will be punished.
Choosing to try to opt out of anything if you don't have the means to pay makes your life infinitely harder and you may be punished for it.
Not paying, so often, doesn't just mean loss of service - it means loss of rights and freedoms.
If you refuse to do this, again, you’re faced with losing your rights and protections at least and at worst losing your freedom altogether. Your bodily autonomy is fully dependent upon you obeying these rules. Without doing so, you lose your capacity to earn capital so you can choose to clothe, feed and shelter yourself. Again to simply choose not to pay for these things, doesn’t mean you simply go without. Most of the time there’s punishment. It would be one thing if choosing not to pay meant you had to find your own way - that would be fair. But that’s not the system we have.
Taxes: Again, the taxes you are forced to pay to your government are not optional. They are not something you have any say over, and the threat of not paying is a violent one. Likely most of the money you are giving back to the government from your working salary goes towards a military you likely don’t support, or at the very least wouldn’t choose to fund as heavily as it’s being funded. It goes towards food subsidies you likely don’t support. Power generation methods you likely don’t support. Government officials who are doing things you don’t support.
Very little of it percentage wise goes towards actual infrastructure and services that help keep our society running and that actually BENEFIT any of us.
If you don’t pay, you go to JAIL.
Meaning you don’t just lose access to the services taxes go towards like roads and parks and so on.
You lose access to EVERYTHING.
You are put in a cell, you are treated as less than human, you are separated from everyone you know and love and this is for an amount of time the state decides for you.
There’s no freedom of choice here.
What happens to your body is fully determined by how you choose to obey this coercion.
Travel: In order to leave your country of origin, you have to register with the government and PAY for a document. You can’t just leave. Then, upon trying to enter any other country, you can literally be coerced into sharing any information the country you’re attempting to travel to wants from you, you can be denied access for literally any reason - country of origin, financial status, criminal history, education level...because the person at the counter doesn’t like how you look.
If the government of the country you’re coming from doesn’t get along with the government in the country you’re attempting to enter - you can’t go, not because of anything YOU did, chose or had any say in.
You can be denied access when fleeing danger in your home country, danger you didn’t create, instability you may be totally victim to - your freewill choice to try to protect your body again is totally up to someone else.
Many countries won’t let you enter AT ALL without a vaccine of some sort.
Many of us have never actually had to face what MOST of the human population lives with on a daily basis - no option to leave a painful or oppressive situation that they were born into and have absolutely NO say within, to try to find a better life somewhere else.
Your bodily autonomy in these situations again is fully dependent upon you following the rules - rules that are often arbitrary or having nothing to do with YOU personally.
Driving: You can’t use the public roads without getting a license, registering your vehicle and agreeing to comply with all the rules of the roads. If you don’t, again you can be fined or taken to prison. If you make a mistake on the road you can be fined and taken to prison. You can’t opt out of the rules. You choose to opt out and you get caught. Your bodily autonomy is up for grabs.
Most Substances: MOST of the substances we consume we consume because they are ‘legal.’ The government has decided they are safe or appropriate or ok - and that’s why we have access to them.
That’s why they exist in our food, water and drug supply. If we don’t agree, we have to go out of our way to seek out products that don’t contain these things, and that requires that we have access to the time and money to do so.
If we want something that the government has labelled ‘not legal’ we have to do it in secret. If we’re caught, again, we either face financial repercussions or we lose our access to ALL freedoms by being sent to prison.
The things that are available to us again are made available through the middleman of a store which you have to pay.
There’s no opting in or out of these things.
What you put into your body is already regulated to a large degree by the government and your choice to go outside of those dictates can mean losing access to ALL freedoms and essentially ALL bodily autonomy.
You have freedom to choose WITHIN the bounds of what’s allowed. Everything you do with your body you do having gotten permission to do it. Everything you put into your body has been regulated and gate-kept on some level.
We don’t all have access to everything we want/need because we’ve made rules about what things are ‘worth’ and we’ve made rules around who is even allowed to work in certain positions in order to earn enough money to pay the government, for a home and basic necessities - to then have money left over to CHOOSE the consumer goods they’re going to purchase.
Anyone who’s attempted an alternative healing modality will know the risk involved in practicing as well as consuming.
We follow the rules we do because of coercion. Very, very little of what we do is actually a free will CHOICE - meaning there are no severe consequences either way - we can just do as we see fit. It’s true - we can all do what we want - but we have to be honest - most of us DON’T just do what we want, because the repercussions for doing so are so violent.
We’ve just normalized following those rules and giving up that bodily autonomy.
We’ve normalized all the ways in which we’re already fully complying with the coercion of the government.
Alright let's take a pause here and come back next week for some final explorations and thoughts.
<3
There’s nothing wrong with you.
There’s never BEEN anything wrong with you.
There are NO bad parts of you.
There is a way of life that will work for you - and it doesn’t require that you fix, change or alter who you are in any way.
Unconditional love DOES exist, and you’re worthy of feeling connected to it at all times.
If you’ve been following this page for a while, you know that everything I produce here is about connecting you to these truths.
The Aliyah Mystery School is a place where I’ve put ALL of my tools, in a sequential, organized format, to help you take this journey of self love to it’s most radical and magical end.
This month I’m adding a FOURTH curriculum to the school - and this curriculum is all about taking the self love path all.the.way.
You’re worthy of living a life that works for you. Of being freed from the self help paradigm that continues to sell you lies about yourself. You’re worthy of realizing that all you need is self UNDERSTANDING and SUPPORT in expressing who and what you really are.
The school gives you the tools to figure out who you are, what you want, and how you can create that.
