There's a MASSIVE difference between truly investigating our feelings/thoughts in a way that allows us to break through our current patterns and awareness into something new - and ruminating on our current thoughts.
There's a massive difference between thinking about our feelings, thinking about our thoughts and going over and over the same mental loops and proactively getting into a state where we're capable of questioning our conditioning and assumptions so deeply that we can open ourselves to new information.
There's a huge difference between feeling our feelings, watching the thoughts that arise from those feelings, and learning how to question those stories - vs. sitting and trying to 'figure out' what our anxiety/depression/sadness/fear is trying to say by thinking about all the things it COULD BE according to our current awareness.
There's a big difference between feeling into our intuition - that part of self that KNOWS things our current intellect doesn't have access to - and getting stuck in replaying what we seem to know over and over again.
In the emotional mastery work we're doing here - I talk a LOT about questioning our thoughts. About making room in our days to really get into our feelings so we can get the messages our feelings have for us. I talk a lot about how our thoughts and feelings are BOTH vital for figuring out reality, and how they are BOTH a part of our intuition/figuring out our next steps even as we have no intellectual understanding of what to do next.
I talk about how our emotions are messengers of information that our intellect doesn't currently have access to. About why we must investigate our emotions and feelings in order to get these messages.
With this, it can sound like I'm telling you to think about your thoughts. It can sound like I'm telling you to go inside and intellectually figure out what your emotions are telling you. Like I'm encouraging you to replay your thoughts over and over again until you FINALLY break through and figure out what you need to know.
Today, I want to explain the ACTUAL process of how we learn to get messages from our emotions, and how to work WITH our thoughts in order to break through our conditioning. I'm going to explain why FEELING is the first step, why getting messages and answers isn't something we are going to be able to do right away, and why we have to break through the THOUGHT DOMINANCE so that we can drop into FEELING - and how THIS will give us the actual capacity to question our thoughts effectively. I'm going to share why skipping the learning to feel step means we will never be able to question our thoughts - because our thoughts all make sense to us! It's only through FEELING that we figure out which thoughts are real and which aren't - and that we have access to our higher wisdom/guidance.
