San Francisco Saturday :)

Hi!

Many of you have told me that you like my more personal posts, so I thought I would show you what a "day in the life" looks like for us here in San Francisco on the weekends! This is pretty standard for what we get up to on Saturdays, no special occasion, just fun!

The day started as every day does:

Flipin it and reversin it or something along those lines

Flippin' it and reversin' it or something along those lines

Followed by more routine:

Open heart is as open heart does as they say

Then we were off to the Ferry Building Farmers Market!  I am a farmers market junky, and I convince Marcus we need to go to one pretty much every weekend. We decided to walk the sea wall to get there this week, and that meant going through Fishermans Warf. It was totally and completely insane:

I could not even believe what had just happened.

I could not even believe what had just happened.

There were about a gabillion people, including Elmo. For real. Elmo was there.

After we escaped from the jaws of life, we headed down to the Market. It was also totally crazy. But it is still my favourite place to be on a Saturday afternoon!

What? You never wear your backpack as a front pack?

From there we walked through a little park to take my Instagram photos for the day.

Here is an out-take:

Clearly, I am grace personified.

Clearly, I am grace personified. Just about to topple over here.

I did manage a nice one or two:

Then we meandered our way through down town to China town. After Fishermans Crazytown Warf and the Farmers Market, China town seemed calm. And that is saying something.

We then Climbed Mount Everest walked up the hill and down the hill back to our house with our 40 pounds of produce on our backs.

Here is a bit of what we got:

Just a few figs.

Just a few figs.

They had baskets of figs for 1.50 each. So I took them all, naturally.

We also stocked up on juice doings:

As I always say, keep your fridge looking like the produce department/jungle

While I was taking a million photos of food, because that is a super important thing I must do putting all out produce away, Marcus was setting up our new tent in the living room. Just average.

You don't do this on Saturdays?

Once the tent had been tested and deemed satisfactory by Marcus, we did a little new moon meditation to help draw in what we want for the next month.

Then, I did something I never, ever do.

I did my hair AND put on a real outfit!

I don't know how to stand in these clothes. They are essentially holding me up due to their not being stretchy pants and having actual form and shape.

Neither Marcus nor I knew what was going on.

We then ventured out to Chestnut street for a little date night!

Dinner for Marcus was at Squat And Gobble. I am not going to admit that I was embarrassed to type that out.

Again, Mr Witness Protection over here.

Again, Mr Witness Protection over here.

He ordered the Veggie burger. While it was tasty, he essentially complained to me the entire time about how hard it was to eat because it kept falling apart, and was therefore messy. Apparently this is a really big deal? I don't really understand due to the fact that I generally walk away from my meals with fruit in my hair and on my shoulder.

Right before it all went down hill

I sat listening, drinking my tea like a 1000 year old.

Wild times with me on a Saturday night, let me tell you.

Then, to make up for the burger debacle, we went to Plant Cafe and Marcus got himself a Vegan Chocolate cupcake:

He loves cupcakes

It was then time to head home and make a small amount of Green Juice:

So small. Can you even see it?

And play games!

Ooooooh. Games.

Ooooooh. Games.

He kicked my butt both games, and I then pouted like a sore loser humbly and graciously congratulated him on his win.

We wrapped up our day with my dinner and some good old fashioned streaming of Good Eats. Alton Brown literally knows everything about food.

I had some figs:

You don't even understand how good these were.

Thats it!

What do you do on Saturdays? Do you want to see more 'day in the life' posts around here?
