Hello Beauty!
Every one of us, at some point or other in our lives, will have a 'hit' of intuition. A 'gut' feeling that something really isn't or is right for us. A pull towards someone or something we can't explain. All of us will experience 'knowing' something we couldn't have possibly known.
We're told that if we continue to follow/develop our spiritual nature, if we learn to connect with our bodies and emotions, if we can drop into that place of knowing BEYOND what the intellect can show us, that in this we will have 'access' to deeper truths about life, and more importantly, we will be able to sense, feel and intuit what is and isn't right for US as individuals. We're told that if we develop our intuition, if we start to trust our intuition, that it will guide us to those things that are aligned for us, it will help us find our right life, and will help us avoid things that are wrong or out of alignment.
But is this true? Can we really trust ourselves? Do we really have access to higher wisdom/knowledge? What happens if we've tried to trust our intuition in the past, only to realize what we were feeling WASN'T intuition, and that our gut feelings led us to something deeply painful? What if we've attempted to develop our capacity to FEEL and all that's done is made us MORE confused because our emotions/feelings seem to be all over the place? How come some people can seemingly so naturally just 'follow their instincts' and arrive at all these wonderful experiences, where others of us just seem to get more lost, confused and hurt?
What gives? How do we know if we're having an intuition or just a fear/projection? How do we trust ourselves when we HAVE followed what we thought was our gut/intuition and it led us to PAIN and suffering? How do we develop a clear intuition? How do we tell the difference between intuition and trauma?
Let's dive into all of this today. Intuition, trusting our feelings, knowing what we are actually feeling and what it means - this is all usually more complex than most spiritual teachers make it sound. There's much to unpack here, so let's take our time and go deep!
