Today I have something special for you!
I was recently featured on The Squarepeg podcast - where I got to share a little bit about my journey with Autism - specifically Asperger's Syndrome.
I got to go deep about my experience with the really intense PHYSICAL symptoms that actually went undiagnosed for a very long time due to simple lack of education around the overarching effects of Autism on the body.
I got to explain how the mental/emotional impacts of chronic STRESS can show up on a physical level and how I have learned to love and embrace myself in ways that have allowed me to live WITH autism in a relatively peaceful way.
I hope this exploration of my learning to embrace MYSELF - even when I didn’t have a diagnosis for why life was so much harder for me than it seemed to be for everyone else - was KEY to my finding a life that works for me - and how YOU doing the same can actually work for YOU TO - whether you are neuro-diverse or not. Because we ALL have unique needs that need to be addressed.
I may be an extreme case - but I hope my exploration helps you feel less alone in whatever YOU are going through, and provides you with some tools for how you too can make your life ‘work’ for YOU just as you are.
